Things Left Unsaid
a duet with and by Giorgio Convertito and Terhi Vaimala
“Music is the space between the notes” - Claude
Debussy
“Don’t play what’s there. Play what’s not there” - Miles Davis
The piece focuses on communication in a moving space, looking for movement
that is perceived through the space, heard in the space, movement that
happens in between the bodies, movement that is transmitted through space,
from body to body, to walls, to audience, to body. It also talks about
what you choose to show and what you don’t, what is there but not seen,
what is left unsaid but distinctly heard.
